Totally unfriendly when we accidentally entered the place even though it was closed. We overlooked the crucial hint in what felt like 20 boards and were sent away in a very customer-unfriendly manner. Fortunately, there are very good other restaurants at the port.
Impossible service in this store! On a board it is written that please wait and that you will be assigned a seat. So we (2 adults + 1 child 5Y) waited a few minutes until a lady assigned us a table with the hint that she would be about to clear the table and disinfect it. We sat at this table in about 10 minutes without paying any attention! Until a similar situation arose at the next table (people came, people were assigned to a table that had not yet been cleared) only that the table was cleared directly and carelessly disinfected. When the service staff brought the card to our next table, she "noticed" us and stopped to tell us that you are not allowed to sit down at a table, the table has not yet been cleaned. Thereupon I tried to refresh the lady’s memory that she put us at this table with the remark she’s going to clean up soon. It just didn't work out instead, they ranted at us at a volume that everyone in the area heard. On another nice resistance that we are not aware of any guilt, she abusive and we left the restaurant. Something like this has never happened to me and I'm still really mad about this behavior! The problem is that you do not have to fear any consequences because there will always be day trippers coming and enriching you. It more or less doesn't matter ... Normally I wouldn't write anything here, but I'm just absolutely stunned by this behavior. That's not how you deal with customers. Especially not when you are so forgetful and don't remember things that were 10 minutes ago. happened.
In the best port location, we ate a delicious fried fish roll here. Our daughter also got herself a scoop of ice cream several times. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. It also looked good on the other guests' plates.
On Hiddensee. Very good food, and the service very friendly. Recommendable.
Got a fish roll in the evening. Good taste average, but the fish straight from the glass onto the roll without draining or something like that, so the roll was totally soaked. For the price of € 5 (understandable because Hiddensee and directly at the harbor) you can expect a little more. Staff was very nice.
We (4 people) had reserved a table on two evenings during our holiday week. Like 4 years ago it was a great experience! The food delicious and plentiful! The service is quick and nice. Even our special food and drink requests were promptly fulfilled. We didn't have to wait long, despite the fact that all tables were occupied and the staff was busy. When we go on holiday on the island again next year, a visit to the Fischerklause is a must! :)
Despite a reservation, we only got a tiny table and weren't asked whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. It was pretty fresh. We didn't have our drinks after 20 minutes and had to order them again. The meal also took a while, but it is due to that that each portion is prepared separately. The portion is quite large and tasted good. So the cook makes a good 👍. We had to draw attention to ourselves several times so that we could reorder and pay. Conclusion: good food but with a lot of patience and time 😒
Like every year we go out to eat there. Kudos! Despite the heat, Ms. Hering and her team comply with the hygiene regulations during the Corona period. Many on the island (operator) would have to copy something.
Special challenges during Corona times or not, but the way the service was today, mMn is not. Completely understaffed staff, very long waiting times, orders sometimes wrongly served, mess to the power of three and ultimately waiting at least 15 minutes for the bill - that is far from being professional. The hygiene concept is poor. The food is okay, although it should rather be called an upscale snack. It's too expensive for that. What a shame
Half a star! Very long waiting time for bad, poorly topped and overpriced fish rolls (salmon, fried fish).
Eating very well was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Enjoyed with the sun.
Absolutely not recommended. Very rude staff. We sat at the very edge in the middle of the meadow, no question about it, the distance rule during Corona time with all due respect. But when my guests are sitting outside in the middle of a storm, freezing and only have to beg afterwards to sit down, the only thing that comes out is: "not with Covid, only when it rains" - doesn't work at all !!! Food was good. But the toilets were under all sow. Dirty and broken !!
No greeting, eternal waiting time, freezer food at exorbitant prices. One star is for the beautiful place in the sun.
One thing first ... The food was good! But !!! ... dealing with the guest is the bottom drawer. We arrived in the restaurant at 6 p.m. and had a table assigned to us with the note that our ferry was leaving at 7 p.m. We were told no problem. 5 minutes after 6 p.m. order placed (3 people) 6:45 p.m. no food yet. After a note on our part it was noticed that we are still there. 6.50 p.m. no food, we just wanted to pay for our drinks and off we went. Then we got cheeky towards us. Suddenly the food came, our plates were literally slammed onto the table, in addition to this, aggressive and extremely unfriendly manner. Wrapped up a 16 euro menu in 5 minutes. Then the bill was too high by 15 euros and the reduced child portion was also fully billed. You have to keep a cool head even in difficult situations. The insulting kind doesn't work at all. The wait is far too long. The selection of restaurants on the island is large enough, so you don't have to do that again.
A very unpleasant stay there! I was sitting outside and was only noticed after about 10 to 15 minutes! A blonde waitress with glasses then came up to me and asked if I needed a card! I said no and ordered a small fish soup and a dry white wine, i.e. Riesling! When the wine was served and I drank, I noticed that it tasted semi-dry to sweet, which I then said! He was also almost uncooled! I suddenly noticed a great lack of understanding when this blonde waitress took the glass and almost wanted to pour it over or onto my jacket! I said: please be careful! She only said when she poured the wine away: Then not! Is that the fine way to deal with guests and people? When paying for the fish soup, I had to ask twice whether a small fish soup really costs € 8.90 !? I only give the one star for the fish in the soup, which tasted quite good!
Awful. We wanted some drinks and food, but the workers deliberatly ignored us. The lady working there even got angry at an older man, because he asked about the drinks he didn’t get. When the wind started blowing, she just told everyone she doesn’t know what to do with everybody, because she hasn’t got any places inside. Seriously, they were annoyed, because people wanted something. Never again, everybody looked unhappy because they were being treated like trash.
When I entered I was greeted with the words: E-scooters are not allowed on the island. I kindly advised you that I am disabled. After drinking a pot of coffee, I was asked to pay and leave immediately. You would need space for other guests. There were 5-6 tables free and there were no people. Here you are just out of quick money.
I cannot share the reference to being child-friendly, as my grandson was just (13.06.2020; 3:10 p.m.) expelled from the restaurant because he wanted to eat something that was not bought in this house. Such experiences leave a bad impression. In my view not recommended at all and NOT a star value. Visitors with children should refrain from going there.

Food very good, although priced accordingly. We came as a group just before the end and were still served. Highly recommended, especially local delicacies. Much better than burger hipster stuff.
